Helping young men and their parents
Mitch DeArmon is an authority on teen boys. As founder of LeadershipWorks, a mentoring and consulting organization, DeArmon offers critically-needed services for teen boys and their families. Programs are available nationally as well as in the organization's homebase of Sonoma County, California.
Programs include Men of Honor mentoring, INITIATION! camps, Reality Checks for youth as well as advice, consulting and workshops for parents.
Mitch is available nationally through phone consultations, this website and workshops for parents conducted by arrangement in cities across the country. He also provides training for mentors of male youth throughout the country.
DeArmon's unique perspective--earned helping thousands of young men and their families--puts him at the forefront of the urgent concern for male youth.
"Parenting teen boys is not easy," DeArmon said. "Our society has completely failed our young men. The rise in hazing, violence, incarceration, and medicating and self-medicating through alcohol and drugs is only the beginning. Our hope and our challenge lie with men mentoring our young men and in women trusting men enough to let them."
"Being a teenage boy has never been harder," DeArmon emphasized, "We must work together for the benefit of our male youth."

Parent Community
One of the most powerful approaches to parenting is not to do it in isolation.
At LeadershipWorks, we have seen parents who were locked in blame, guilt, and despair have their loads lightened dramatically through the exchange of information with other parents.
This website has been designed to provide some of that community for you (the rest you can do in your own neighborhoods).
You can tap into the Mitch's latest and greatest thoughts in dealing with kids and parenting in Mitch's Weblog.
You can also enjoy an exchange of ideas with other parents by logging onto the Parent Community.
