When it's about young men, leadership works.
Parenting teenagers, especially teenage boys, is a challenge. The modern world is full of parenting dilemmas regarding drug and alcohol use, teen depression and suicide, teen violence, negative media images just to start. Then there are the family dynamics of divorce, single parenting, stepparents, the mom and son relationship, and the father and son relationship.
Our teen boys are caught in the crossfire. And so are we parents. How can we survive each day, let alone instill values, discipline, limits, respect, responsibility?
This site is designed to help you find your answers. You’ll find parenting help in both Mitch’s Tips for Parents from adolescent expert Mitch DeArmon and in the Parents Talk! section from other parents of teen boys. We also offer programs that work for your son and yourself, This site is ever evolving with new information from Mitch and participating parents! Check back. Parenting teenage boys can be isolating. At LeadershipWorks, it doesn’t have to be.
