LeadershipWorks
is an organization serving adolescent males and their families through mentoring
programs, camps, workshops, information, and consulting—all designed
to empower youth to take responsibility for their actions, community, and
future.
Youth programs include mentoring for community and school groups. Team mentoring with a trained mentor has resulted in positive changes for participating youth at sites throughout Sonoma County. LeadershipWorks also conducts a Buffalo Run, an intensive one-day mentoring program for young men for schools, agencies and clubs. LeadershipWorks provides parent support through monthly Parent Revival Meetings, and workshops as well as a free e-BULLetin on raising a son.
Principals include Mitch DeArmon who develops and facilitates the programs and Vicki DeArmon who manages the office and outreach. Mitch also consults privately with both parents and youth and conducts trainings for mentors. He also conducts leadership training for men's organizations.
